Won My Ironman Division!

Carole H.

“I am an athlete, Personal Trainer, Mom, breast cancer survivor,  business owner and 51 years young.

I have had a love affair with endurance sports for 15 years. In 2010, I was about to compete in my 9th Ironman competition in Bolton, England, - the place where I grew up and spent the first 21 years of my life.

An Ironman involves 2.4 miles of swimming, a 112 mile bike ride followed by a marathon of 26.2 miles. All the physical training takes a toll on your body after years of pounding the pavement; - maintaining muscle mass is difficult in endurance sports so I sought the help of Corry who helped me with my nutrition.

Corry developed my eating plan, putting more protein in my diet, I consumed more calories than I have ever eaten, and took the proper supplements for energy that would sustain me through months of training. With Corry’s help I was able to shed 51bs of fat and keep all of my lean muscle, giving me the most energy that I have had in years.

The best news was when I competed in my race; I won my division and a slot to compete the World Championship Hawaii Ironman 8 weeks later. I realized that the combination of physical training, mentally preparing, and the right nutrition were my keys to success.

I am now following the same plan for my next Ironman in Mont Tremblant, Quebec Canada this August”.

Boosted My Confidence for the Stage

VANESSA S.

When I first thought about competing, I had zero confidence in myself. I knew it was something I wanted to do, but I never thought I would have the right body to do it. After having two kids and being near 30 years old, my confidence in my body image started to decrease, until I met Corry and Stacia. They helped boost my confidence and get me on stage in great shape. They are extremely knowledgeable in fitness and nutrition and were always there to answer any questions I had any time I had them.

Results Happen!

NINO D.

I have been an athlete all my life. I played football from middle school into college. I was an Infantryman in the United States Marines and fought mixed martial arts for 2 years. Over the years I have competed in Crossfit competitions and even completed a full Ironman triathlon. This has all been part of my quest to keep pushing my body to the max and feeling challenged.

Now I find myself at Strength &Grace fortunate enough to train with Corry and Stacia. Two of the most knowledgeable and passionate Coaches I have ever worked with.  I want to make it clear they aren't just great coaches they are caring and genuine people who really want to see each member succeed. I understand we all have different goals and thoughts on what it means to accomplish those goals. Sometimes coaches don't understand that. They just push their own agenda not listening to what you want to accomplish. Not the case with Corry and Stacia. They take the time to listen and help you reach your goals, they make themselves available and I have worked with many coaches across many different training platforms and this is very rare. Corry and Stacia keep me motivated by their passion and desire to help. It drives me to be better, push harder, return better numbers and results out of my respect for them. If you are serious about training, if you are serious about seeing results then make the commitment and test yourself at Strength &Grace. I am not going to lie you need to be committed and disciplined. Results just don't happen but if you are willing to try and give a true effort I can say you will have success.

New Mom Taking the Stage

HEATHER C.

I started working with Corry in August of 2015. I had my first child on July 31,2015 and put on 50 pounds during my pregnancy. I did one fitness show prior to pregnancy and wanted to get back into the sport post-partum but had a lofty goal to step on stage again in even better shape than before. Right after having my daughter, Corry developed a plan to help me shed the excess baby weight. She was such a great support to me as I entered my new role as a mom and really understood how to support me nutritionally, especially with breastfeeding, gradually getting back into working out, etc. With 4 months of hard work and discipline I was able to lose all 50 pounds but the next step was to get on a completely different plan in order to lean out for competition. Each week I was in contact with Corry, sending her photos, progress updates, questions, and I always received valuable feedback. Exactly 9 months to the day after having my daughter I stepped on stage and placed in two of the categories I entered. Corry played such an integral role in my success and I look forward to continuing our relationship as I strive to grow and improve as a mom and as a fitness competitor.

Lifestyle vs. Diet

VICTORIA T..

I’ve been working with Corry and Stacia for 7 months and have lost almost 40lbs all together. They have taught me so much about nutrition and how to get a handle on my cravings. They care about the athlete as a whole and me as a person. Even though I still have work to do, I’m excited to look in the mirror and see the self confidence that wasn’t there before. Thank you Corry and Stacia for everything you do.
