Balance…work/life/family?
On the cusp of our very busy show week I find myself
thinking about balance and how us moms’ are really supposed to make it all
work.
Recently I read (ok, ok, I hardly have time to read), I
listened to a book on Audible and it talked all about how there really is no
such thing as balance…there is a season for everything and then we (especially
us women) multi task and juggle to make it all work out. And I for one, couldn’t agree more.
The book I am referencing is from Rachel Hollis, author of Girl
Wash Your Face. Her new book Girl
Stop Apologizing goes deeper into what it means to be a woman, a mother
and a business owner. AND…that is
exactly where I find myself – trying each day to find balance.
P.S. if you feel the dreaded mommy guilt – trust me, pick up a copy of this book or download it and listen to it.
Stacia and I are busier than ever with kids in school, after school activities (chorus, sports, foreign language) and our husbands (yes, we only each have one). BUT, we want to continue to keep building our business and encourage it to grow and thrive. Why – because we are both type-A individuals, we both work well when busy, and we truly do love what we do. We bring fitness, nutrition and wellness to people each and every day. It’s an amazing feeling to be growing and learning from each and every step.
So why are we sharing this?
Because one key element in the book is to know when to ask for
help. While our kids think we are Super
Woman, there are many times we just can’t do it all on our own. And so…this week, we’re asking for help.
If you’ve gained value from what Stacia and I have done over
the years…been a client of ours, been a competitor at one of our shows,
attended one of our shows, sponsored one of our shows … would you share your
success with others?
Our newest product – our Weekly Dose of Strength & Grace
email is gaining momentum. We’ve
received thank you’s for the recipes, thank you’s for being real with all of
you and thank you’s for continuing to grow!
We are so grateful for all of you…and THANK YOU for helping us do what
we love.
Now with that…I have to get back to writing content for our
digital magazine, creating some fresh new recipes for next week and hmmm….maybe
take 20 minutes to do something not work related on this cross country flight.
