Orgasm – Best Hormone Treatment EVER

Ok ladies, what is the last thing you want to do when you feel like your hormones are out of balance? Did you say have sex? Have an orgasm? Ok...let me be real honest here, as women when we enter pre or peri-menopause we are feeling anything but sexy. Hello hot flashes, weight gain and all out bitchy mood swings. Or maybe you are trying to have a baby?

So - when I say - in order for you to feel better, I want you to have an orgasm - don't run away. Hear me out on this one! There really is a lot of science on how sex, and more specifically orgasms help to balance hormones.

Did you know, as early as the 1930’s doctors prescribed orgasm, or medical massages for the treatment of all the female ailments.  The reason orgasm is used as a hormone treatment, it increases estrogen, releases oxytocin and lowers cortisol. (Dr. Sara Gottfried).

The number 1 reason why women experience the not so pleasant side effects (weight gain, becoming softer, bitchy-ness) as we age is because our estrogen decreases. If we can use a natural treatment, such as orgasm to increase our hormones, there are no scary side effects from hormone replacement therapy (excess bleeding, increased risk of cancer and heart disease).

And I mentioned oxytocin, oxytocin makes us happier and reduces depression and anxiety. Yes, sign me up!

But, there is even better news for why orgasms are the best hormone treatment…

  • Trying to conceive – orgasm increases fertility and makes it easier for semen to enter the uterus.  So, ladies have your orgasm after your partner.
  • Orgasm excites your hypothalamus gland which regulates appetite, emotions and the pituitary gland (hello…lets check off a few of the goals that most women have when they reach out for hormone imbalance).
  • Orgasm = lymphatic massage – better detoxification for your body.
  • Orgasnm spikes DHEA – We want elevated levels of the DHEA hormone because its known as one of the anti-aging hormones.  DHEA keeps us looking younger – bones, muscles and skin.  Many women as we age (starting as early as our mid-20s) lose DHEA. I’m all for getting this naturally! And literally more DHEA could be a life saver.

Everything in the female body runs on hormones.  We always tell our clients that weight gain is almost always a hormonal imbalance.  Why not use the best free tool you have to optimize your hormones?  With a partner or alone…the orgasm is the best hormone treatment – EVER!

Even when you’re not in the mood, having an orgasm regularly can get you in the mood and have many positive effects on your overall wellness.
