The key to changing anything in life is knowing why you want to change it.
But when that WHY isn’t big enough… you’ll find every excuse in the book.
Trust me, I know. I’ve lived it.
Who I am...
I’m Corry Matthews—fitness and nutrition expert for women navigating hormone "chaos", retired pro athlete, and mom to two teenage girls who keep me on my toes.
With a Master’s in Sports Medicine, a Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology, and over two decades of coaching under my belt, I knew what to do to stay healthy.
So why wasn’t I doing it?
Because somewhere along the way, my “why” got buried. And I didn’t even recognize myself anymore.
Big Move
In 2017, we packed up our life in Virginia and moved to California—my husband’s home state.
I left behind my businesses, my best friends, my network.
And in the middle of that transition, I found myself shrinking—not just physically, but emotionally.
My workouts were hollow.
I leaned on food for comfort.
I felt anxious, withdrawn, and completely unmotivated.
I knew what I should be doing… but I kept saying, “Now’s not the right time.”
Truth? I’d lost all confidence. And I didn’t recognize the woman in the mirror.
My husband introduced me to her podcast, and then her book Kick Ass.
The moment she called out someone for being a health coach who wasn’t taking care of herself—it stopped me cold.
It was like she was speaking directly to me.
Right then and there, I made the decision:
I had to become my own best success story.
What I didn’t realize at the time?
I was stepping into early perimenopause.
The Hormone Reset
In June 2019, Stacia mentioned we needed to do a hormone reset.
It meant giving up coffee for 11 days (IYKYK). But I was all in.
One year later, my entire life had shifted—slow and steady, one aligned step at a time.
One year can make a big change...slow and steady wins the race.
Here’s what changed:
✅ Anxiety, depression, and self-judgment? Fading.
✅ No more constant hunger or restriction.
✅ Inflammation down.
✅ Hormones from “normal” to optimal.
✅ I rebuilt strength, healed injuries, and reclaimed confidence.
✅ I lost 25 pounds of inflammation and gained 5 pounds of strong, healthy muscle.
✅ I went from hiding in clothes to loving how I felt in them.
Most importantly?
I got me back.
My REAL why...
Sure, it might sound silly.
But at the core, my why was this:
I wanted to feel confident in a bathing suit and shorts.
Living in sunny SoCal, I was missing out—skipping beach days, hiding from family photos, shrinking away from moments that mattered.
Not anymore!
I didn’t just reset my body—I rewrote the story. And that journey became the foundation of The Hormone Solution, which has now helped hundreds of women—including Stacia, who lost 65 pounds—reclaim their energy, clarity, and freedom.
