Açai berries have been touted as a super food with a range of potential health benefits for many years:
- Antioxidant properties: Açai berries are rich in antioxidants, which help protect the body against damage from free radicals and may reduce the risk of certain diseases, such as cancer and heart disease.
- Improved heart health: Açai berries contain compounds that may help lower cholesterol levels and improve heart health.
- Improved digestion: Açai berries contain fiber, which can help promote healthy digestion and prevent constipation.
- Weight loss: Açai berries contain fiber and healthy fats that can help regulate appetite and promote weight loss.
- Boosted energy: Açai berries are a natural source of energy and can help improve physical endurance and performance.
The problem with most traditional Açai bowls - they are loaded with sugar, and high fructose fruit. This bowl includes proteins and a nut based granola to lower the overall sugar and increase the total fiber.
It's so good, I have to remind myself that it is good for me!
