Costco Finds…

Ah, that big grey box full of all my favorite Costco finds. It really is such a great place for saving on healthy foods, if you know what you are looking for.

In this blog I am sharing all my go-to Costco finds. Most of these are Kirkland brand and should be easy enough to find across the U.S., but if the specific one isn’t available, there is probably another alternative that is just as good.

The list

Pantry Staples

  • Organic Coffee – usually available in both the Keurig and the whole beans – if you are a regular coffee drinker, be sure that it is organic. You only reap all the benefits of your coffee if it's clean and toxin-free.
  • Kirkland Almond Flour – yes, it’s a big-huge bag, but so many of our recipes use this as the main ingredient – pancakes, muffins, and desserts.
  • Kirkland Organic peanut butter or Kirkland Organic almond butter – just like we like it – nuts and salt, and zero added sugar.
  • Nutzo – can’t do peanuts, this is the spread for you. Everything but the peanuts, it even has flax and chia seeds.  It’s the
  • Kirkland Unsweetened Almond Milk – no added sugar and the healthiest I have seen.
  • Monk fruit sweetener – yep, another big bag, but it is our preferred sweetener for all our desserts and for your coffee.
  • Rao’s pasta sauce – what we love about this sauce – no added sugar. Almost all pasta sauces these days add sugar.  You don’t need it. Here is one of our favorite recipes with Rao's
  • Shelled pistachios – quick and yummy snack.
  • Raw organic cashews – most economical way to buy these. Want them roasted…do it yourself with avocado or coconut oil and Himalayan sea salt.
  • Fiber - chia seeds, flax seeds, and hemp hearts can all be found in bulk.
  • Keto Pancake/Waffle Mix - this is name brand - Birch Benders

Produce/Dairy Section

  • Butter lettuce – super easy wrap for tacos or your protein burger.
  • Fresh spinach – I bring this home and throw it in my freezer to use for my shakes. This allows me to buy in bulk, and it doesn’t go bad.
  • Pastured Organic Eggs – full of omega’s and just taste better.
  • Organic Hard-Boiled Eggs – these come in 2 packs and are the perfect on-the-go snack or way to add quick protein to your lunch.

Frozen

  • Cauliflower rice – in the freezer sections, comes with 4 servings.
  • Frozen Broccoli – this is the best microwave broccoli.

Meat Section

  • Organic/pastured fresh chicken breasts or chicken thighs – yes, organic and pastured is key here.
  • Organic ground beef – you seriously need to upgrade to organic pasture-raised beef, and this is an economical way to buy it.  Store it in the freezer.
  • Organic ground turkey

Do you have a favorite Costco find? Yes – we would love to hear about it and add it to your list.

And yes, Costco does require and annual membership, but we believe the savings are worth the investment.
