Dark Chocolate Mint Protein Shake
To make our Dark Chocolate Mint Shake, use the below recipe as that base, but add in 1/4 tsp of Pure Peppermint Extract! And top with a sprinkle of Cacao nibs! Happy Holidays!
Dark Chocolate Protein Shake
Satisfy that chocolate craving the healthy way!
- Blender
- 1 c. Unsweeteend almond milk
- 1/2 c. ice
- 2 Tbsp Unsweetened Almond or Peanut Butter
- 2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 2 Tbsp Cacao Powder (look for Organic - I like Navitas)
- 1 c. Raw Spinach
- 1/2 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (I use my Titan Isolate* see not below for detox!)
- 1 scoop Collagen Protein (I use Thrive's Grass Fed)
Put ice in bottom of blender cup, then add milk and the rest of the ingredients.
I add the spinach last - blend and enjoy.
This smoothie hits all those sweet taste buds without adding any sugar into the mix. Be sure to look at your ingredients and make sure none of them have added sugar.
*If you are doing our 21 day detox, omit the Whey Isolate protein and only do the Collagen Protein or opt for a Vegan powder. We have links to our favorite proteins here.
The Collagen protein will not affect your body like regular dairy does, since its not make from the milk or meat of the cow. But, we recommend it is from organic grass fed cows, you can also opt for marine collagen.
