Detox Approved Pie Crust

A grain free, gluten free pie crust

Equipment

  • Pie Pan
  • Oven
  • Mixer

Ingredients

  • 1.5 C. Almond Flour
  • 1/4 C. Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Herbs (for savory pie)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven.
  • If using mixer, place almond flour in mixer with salt and turn on to mix (or mix by hand)
  • Slowly pour in olive oil and keep mixing
  • See notes below for savory vs. sweet pie crust
  • Roll into a dough ball, then place in pie plan and spread out evenly.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, then fill. This won't entirely bake the pie crust, but it will get it ready for your filling.

Notes

It couldn’t get any simpler than this pie crust.
As is, it works perfect for a sweet pie.
To make it savory – add 1 tsp oregano (or other savory herb) to the almond flour/salt and stir together before mixing it with the olive oil
