Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps

Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps

Everything you love, nothing you don't!

  • Skillet
  • 1 head Butter lettuce
  • 1-2 Carrots (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2-3 Garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 Red or Yellow Pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1-1.5 pounds Grass-fed Beef
  • 1 Tbsp Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp Rice Vinegar (Look for the kind with no sugar added)
  • 2 Tbsp Gluten Free Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce (And extra for serving)
  • Sriracha Sauce (for serving only)
  1. Add avocado oil, sesame oil and rice vinegar to skillet with all the vegetables - cook for about 8-10 minutes.

  2. Add the ground beef, after 5 minutes add the soy sauce and hoisin sauce.

  3. While cooking separate the leaves of the butter lettuce. Serving size is two lettuce leaves each filled with a 1/2 cup of mixture.

So many times our favorite restaurant foods are filled with all the things we don't want in them...added sugar, added preservatives and more. This recipe is simple to make. If you are doing our detox - yes, you can still have this recipe with two simple swaps. Instead of beef choose turkey or chicken and instead of the Hoisin sauce choose coconut aminos.
