When you are in the mood for a warm delicious pizza, but wanting to skip the grains and meat (beef/pork) this is a great swap.
*it does contain dairy, so if you are removing it, this isn’t a recipe for you.
Basil - Sausage Pizza
A healthier version of your favorite pizza!

Ingredients
- 2 PreMade Pizza Crust Cauliflower Crust to Almond Flour (check out Thrive Market)
- 1 lb. Chicken Sausage
- 1/2 c. Basil / Pesto Make your own or buy a pre-made one
- 2 c. Mozzarella Cheese go organic
- 4 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Cook the chicken sausage - remove it from it's casing, so you aren't eating "pork"
- While cooking sausage assemble pizza.
- Spread half of basil/pesto on each crust.
- Top with half cheese on each pizza.
- When the sausage is done add it to the pizza.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes at 350-400, just depends on your oven and the crust you chose.

We love Pizza Friday Nghts...and this is one of our favorite pizzas. Its healthier than your traditional order out or take out. And the chicken sausage is so tasty, I buy mine at Trader Joe's.
